There are several different 3D shapes to download: Cube, Cylinder, Hexagonal Prism, Pentagonal Prism, Pyramid, Rectangular Prism, Triangular Prism, Heptagonal Prism, and Octagonal Prism.
3D Shapes for Kids
A cube has six faces, each made up of a square.A cylinder can be constructed from two circles and a rectangle. The length of the rectangle is equal to the circumference of the circles.
A hexagon has fix sides. A hexagonal prism has 8 faces.A pentagon has five sides. A pentagonal prism has 7 faces.There are several kinds of pyramids. This pyramid is called a tetrahedron, since it has a triangular base and only four faces. Pyramids like the ones in Egypt are known as square pyramids, since they have square bases.A rectangular prism is composed of six faces. A cube is also a rectangular prism, since squares are also rectangles.A triangular prism is made up of five faces. Two of those faces are triangles. The other three faces are rectangles.A heptagon is a seven-sided shape. A heptagonal prism has 9 faces.An octagon has eight sides. An octagonal prism has ten faces.
