Learn how to create your own pirate treasure chest, just like the one in the image to the right. This printable craft is free for kids, parents and teachers. You may use it for a pirate theme birthday party, a school project, or a creative pirate craft.

Make Your Own Pirate Treasure Chest Instructions
Step 1. Print out the 3 treasure chest template pieces. For the best results, I recommend printing them onto sheets of 8.5 x 11 cardstock paper.
Step 2. Cut out the templates. Using scissors or an x-acto knife, cut along the edges of the treasure chest pieces.
Step 3. Tape together the pieces of the treasure chest. See the photo below for reference.
Step 4. Fold the treasure chest. When folding, be careful not to crease the paper too sharply. This may cause the paper to crack, exposing the white beneath the printer ink.
Step 5. Tape together the sides of the treasure chest to form a box.
Congratulations! Your pirate treasure chest is now complete.
