A family tree is a wonderful illustration to hang on your wall. It is a nice way to remember those who came before you, and also a great conversation starter when friends come over. A family tree illustration should have a personal, classic, and vintage feel. For that reason, I’ve created a free family tree template using an old public domain image of an ancient oak tree as the background.
Make Your Own Family Tree
If you’d like to make your own family tree, you’re in luck. With these convenient and free printables, the task will be an enjoyable and simple creative challenge. All the hard work has been done for you. All that you need to do is fill in the blanks that say “name” with those of your family members. You’ll also need to rearrange the actual branches of the family tree design, of course. This can be done simply by copying and pasting the boxes and lines that already exist in the template.
The template is available in four different formats. The first version of the printable family tree has been saved as a .doc file for Microsoft Word. The second version has been saved as a .pages file for those of you with an Apple computer and the writing program Pages. If you wish to have more advanced design options, your best choice is to download the Adobe Illustrator template. Last but not least, the family tree drawing of the oak tree can be downloaded without the template boxes on it. You can use this image to create a family tree poster by hand. This may be a great solution for students who need to create a family tree for a school project or homework assignment.
