If you want to design your own postcard, print one of these free printable postcard border templates to help you get started! Choose from 3 hand drawn border templates: The wood border, the festive border, and the abstract border. Print out your favorite one on some cardstock paper. Then you can paste a photograph inside, or sketch an illustration in the blank space.
If you want to make your own postcard from scratch, at the bottom of the page I’ve also posted two postcard outline templates. Each postcard printable border template measures 4”x6”, which is standard postcard size. These have been saved as PDFs.
Postcard Border Templates
Downloading Instructions: Click on the image of the postcard border template you like best. A larger high resolution version of the picture will open in your browser. Right-click on the image and press “Save Image As…” to save it to a folder on your computer. Then open it in an image viewing program to send it to your printer. Before your print an image, be sure to press “Scale to Fit.”
Printable Postcard Outline
Downloading Instructions: Click on the image of the postcard outline. The PDF version will open in your browser. Save it to your computer and then open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader. In your print settings, under Page Sizing and Handling, select “Actual Size.” Then press print.
